Conducting a waste audit, baseline survey and register waste workers.
Specifics of the task
EEL’s study team assessed how Cox’s Bazar, including the Rohingya camps, manages solid waste, particularly plastic. Our main purpose was to examine waste disposal habits, current management systems, and the challenges faced by residents and tourists in these areas. The goal of this assignment was to develop a more efficient waste collection and recycling plan for a cleaner Cox’s Bazar and the Rohingya camp. We deployed a team of collaborative surveyors who were properly trained to gather accurate information from stakeholders and residents, enabling better data analysis and prediction.
