Abdul Motin and Runa Begum have turned three decades of scrap-collecting and setbacks that included wrongful arrest and community rejection into a woman-led recycling venture on coastal Bangladesh. Backed by BRAC’s PLEASE Project, the couple now use formal training, an electric van, and a growing team of female recyclers to double plastic recovery and prove that “waste can create wealth.”
